Professor Albert A Rodger FREng FRSE
Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medallist and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Industry focussed awards include the John Logie Baird Award for Innovation and a Millennium Product Award.
Academic roles have included Vice-Principal External Affairs, Vice-Principal & Head of College of Physical Sciences at the University of Aberdeen - awarded honorary DSc in 2014. Extensive international engagement, a mark of which was award of honorary citizenship in the Republic of Korea. Albert was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2016. His current academic roles are as Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Aberdeen and Visiting Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering the University of Strathclyde.
Albert's appointment to SFC ran from 3 October 2009 until 2 October 2013, with a second term running from 3 October 2013 to 2 October 2017. He is chair of the Research & Knowledge Exchange Committee of SFC.
