Our organisation

The Council is served by an executive of around 130 staff based in Haymarket, Edinburgh. The Council's Chief Executive is Mark Batho.

Its structure is based on nine operational groups. These are organised under two Senior Directors; one of whom looks after Skills, Research and Knowledge Exchange (including Communications) and one of whom looks after Institutions and Corporate Services.
