How we communicate
As a major public body, we are committed to communicating effectively with the colleges and universities that we fund, our stakeholders and the wider public. Our objectives are to:
- develop awareness of the (SFC) and an understanding of our responsibilities and role; and
- promote knowledge and understanding of our aims and objectives.
We use many varied, communication tools, including:
- a website (http://www.sfc.ac.uk) containing information about the SFC;
- press releases;
- circulars announcing and explaining funding and policy decisions or requesting information from colleges and universities;
- a wide range of reports & publications;
- consultation papers seeking views on a variety of policy and strategy issues;
- face-to-face meetings with stakeholders; and
- presentations at conferences and events.
We are also committed to developing electronic communications and making all publications available on our website. Anyone wishing to receive notification of new publications added to our website such as circulars, reports and newsletters can register to receive emails relating to their interests.
All of our publications can be made available in large print or Braille for those with visual disabilities, and can be provided in a variety of languages. Both of these services are free of charge and are available by contacting the Communications Team, Tel: 0131 313 6500 or email: communications@sfc.ac.uk.
