Network builds on Scotland's success in the creative industries
A partnership between the SFC, the Scottish Government and Skillset, together with a collaboration of colleges and universities saw the creation of the Network of Excellence in Creative Media Education.
The University of Abertay Dundee; Napier University and Edinburgh College of Art; and a partnership of colleges known as Creative Loop, form the Network, which aims to help Scotland's colleges and universities provide world-class, innovative and practice-based teaching for screen, broadcast and interactive creative industries.
An SFC investment of £5.8 million over five years will build on Scotland's already strong creative media industry, including digital games technology and broadcasting.
