SFC funds Gaelic first

3 Dec 2015

Designed as a resource for schools, colleges and universities, the voice can be used to read Gaelic web sites, textbooks and other curriculum resources. It will be especially valuable for Gaelic speakers with dyslexia, reading difficulties or visual impairment but can also help anyone just wanting to learn Gaelic.

Before making the voice widely available, CereProc, the Edinburgh company behind its development, gave it a “test drive” at the Glasgow Gaelic School where it got rave reviews from both teachers and pupils.

Ceitidh is now available from CereProc’s Scottish voice website.
