GSA 100th to gain research support award
27 Oct 2016
Glasgow School of Art is the 100th UK body to gain the European Commission HR Excellence in Research award.
The award recognises that an institution is committed to supporting the careers of researchers, including good working conditions, development and diversity. It aims to ensure that Europe is an attractive place for researchers and help Scottish universities attract the best talent from all over the world.
There are now 12 Scottish universities who hold the award.
SFC has led by example and we have successfully passed our four-year external review to hold on to the award ourselves. It recognises our continuing efforts to enhance the career development of researchers by working with Scottish universities to improve how they attract, manage and develop research staff.
More information about the award is on Vitae’s website.
