On the road to success with new CENSIS IoT project

On the road to success with new CENSIS IoT project

11 Jan 2017

Scottish research starts strong in 2017 with a world-leading initiative from an SFC Innovation Centre.

The Innovation Centre for Sensor & Imaging Systems, CENSIS, has been involved with developing an Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled vehicle identification system to track transport data.

Aimed at bus operators, haulage and council vehicles, the Scotland-developed product by company FUELlink Systems will help operators be more efficient in setting targets and monitoring outputs. It also offers potential future use as a security measure in reducing theft at fuel pumps through checking vehicle ID.

CENSIS’ Business Development Director Mark Begbie comments: “This is a great example of how technological innovation can turn into tangible economic impact.”
