Collaborative approach praised by MSPs

In a report published today, the Education and Skills Committee has praised the way the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) develops outcome agreements with Scotland’s colleges and universities.
The report follows the Committee’s scrutiny of the four Scottish public bodies with responsibilities for national priorities in education and skills. Alongside SFC, the Committee also looked at the work of Skills Development Scotland, the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Education Scotland.
John Kemp, SFC’s Interim Chief Executive said: “It is really encouraging to see the Committee welcoming the collaborative approach we take with colleges and universities in creating outcome agreements. I believe outcome agreements with colleges and universities are making a real difference and are playing a big part in putting learners at the centre. I’m also pleased with the value universities attach to our strategic leadership role.”
