Stroke of GINius
12 Dec 2017
SINAPSE has partnered with Strathearn Distillery to create ImaGin, a bespoke craft gin distilled with botanicals inspired by imaging.
Cranberries and watercress are natural sources of iodine, an element used in imaging methods such as CT and PET scans, and create the unique sweet and peppery notes of ImaGin.
The ImaGin label features an image of a cranberry scanned on an MRI system.
SINAPSE is a consortium of six Scottish universities (Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews and Stirling) established with funding from SFC, the Chief Scientist Office and the six universities.
Distilled by members of both Strathearn and SINAPSE, every bottle of ImaGin sold will contribute a donation to SINAPSE for medical imaging research. Now available from the Strathearn Distillery online shop.
