Enhancing life sciences research in Scotland
The Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance (SULSA) involves six universities collaborating to transform biology and life sciences research in Scotland.
An investment of £27 million from the Council and £50 million from the Universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews and Strathclyde will, over five years, attract 18 new research posts and 24 support posts to strengthen research in this critical area which is key to the health and wealth of Scotland. Areas of focus for the research include cell biology and the application of biological knowledge to develop medicines and other therapies.
