Articulation is defined as a student gaining entry into second year of a degree with a Higher National Certificate (HNC) gained at college, or into third year with a Higher National Diploma (HND) gained at college.

Widening access

We want to make sure articulation is an ongoing and active route to university study.

Our vision for articulation is to support colleges and universities in the development and maintenance of articulation pathways and routes that ensures no loss of time for the student and value for public money.

We will achieve this through continued targets in all institutional outcome agreements that are realistic for each region and underpinned by a national 10-year strategy.
