Monitoring and evaluating of Learning to Work
Monitoring and evaluating the progress and impact of our employability strategy is an ongoing process.
Learning to Work 2004-11
We commissioned independent evaluations of:
- the impact of Learning to Work 2004-11 funding on the university sector. SQW consulting reports are available below:
- SQW First Year Report;
- SQW Second Year Report; and
- SQW Third Year Report.
- the final report will be published in late 2011.
- the impact of SFC funding for the Developing Employer Engagement Programme (DEEP) and Knowledge Transfer Grant capacity building programmes. The Frontline report of 2009 (Review of Employer Engagement and Knowledge Transfer Year 1 report) is the first of three reports.
- Review of Employer Engagement and Knowledge Transfer Year 2 report
- the final evaluation will be in 2011
We monitor the overall impact of the first phase of Learning to Work in a variety of other ways which include monitoring changes in student perceptions of the contribution their college or university course makes to their employability reported in longitudinal surveys of learner experience, such as our On Track surveys.
Learning to Work 2010-14
All Learning to Work initiatives and projects have inbuilt monitoring and evaluation arrangements and report at agreed intervals. Details of how we will evaluate the overall impact of Learning to Work Two will be published here in due course.
