Banff and Buchan College - delivering ESOL in the workplace
Banff & Buchan College has been delivering ESOL classes to factory operatives at McRae's Ltd fish processing factory in Fraserburgh. This takes place on-site as part of the induction process for new staff and is flexible in order to fit around shift patterns. The classes have proved very popular with students and management alike, who report that migrant workers are now in a position to be eligible for promotion because of this course. There are also progression opportunities through our evening classes. This project is funded jointly by SFC and the NEWS project.
