Work-related learning in the Real WoRLD

Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is embedding work-related learning activities in programmes across its whole curriculum, in non-vocational as well as vocational subjects.

Using SFC funding provided to all universities to support the employability agenda, GCU launched the Real WoRLD (Realising Work-Related Learning Diffusion) project to integrate the worlds of employment and higher education by addressing employability at institutional, programme and academic levels.

GCU was also chosen by SFC along with the University of Glasgow and the University of
St Andrews as a partner in the £2 million Aiming University@Work project focusing on
work-related learning.
