Scottish Academy of Fashion designs for exclusive collection
Talented students from the Scottish Academy of Fashion design coats that are showcased and sold commercially by the world-famous Mackintosh brand in its Mayfair store.
Mackintosh, based in Cumbernauld, is a Scottish success story, they supply handmade rubberised Mackintoshes all over the world, both to leading designers and under its own label.
SFC provided funding to set up and develop the Scottish Academy of Fashion, an ambitious project which aims to become a global centre of excellence linking industry with research and expertise in the university sector.
Led by Edinburgh College of Art and Heriot Watt University, together with four partner institutions - Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow School of Art, Robert Gordon University and the University of Dundee - the Scottish Academy of Fashion is a hub for collaboration, networking and industry engagement for postgraduate fashion students.
