{"id":40498,"date":"2019-10-01T12:17:38","date_gmt":"2019-10-01T11:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfc.6bdv.ws\/research-pooling-review\/"},"modified":"2024-10-30T15:15:04","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T15:15:04","slug":"research-pooling-review","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sfc.ac.uk\/gd\/research-innovation\/research-pooling\/research-pooling-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Independent review of SFC&#8217;s research pooling initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Scottish Funding Council <a href=\"\/SFCCE012018\">announced an independent review of the Scottish research pooling initiative <\/a>in November 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The review, chaired by <a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/lec\/about-us\/people\/louise-heathwaite\">Professor Heathwaite<\/a> from Lancaster University, reported to SFC&#8217;s Board in September 2019. The review was supported by an Advisory Panel and quantitative analysis by Dr Kirsty Collinge from the University of Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p>The review was high level and summative, focussing on the delivery of the original vision of the research pooling initiative and the impact this has had on the Scottish research environment.
