Sporting Chance Initiative

Sporting Chance Initiative (SCI) is Scotland’s hub for business innovation in sport.

Based at the University of Stirling, the main focus of the project is to enable start-ups and established companies to bring new products and services to the sports market. The Sporting Chance team is helping small and medium-sized Scottish sports businesses grow their ideas through a range of free services, competitions and awards. Since it started in 2010, SCI has helped nearly 700 Scottish companies. From textiles to tour companies, apps to archers, and chocolate to coconuts it has helped them all.
