Placing value on good research conduct and its governance helps to ensure that industry, international partners, governments and the public can continue to have confidence in Scottish university research and its world-leading researchers.
The Scottish Funding Council (SFC) has today reaffirmed its commitment to the highest standards of rigour and integrity in research, by publishing a new research integrity policy. The policy will apply to Scottish universities receiving research and innovation funding from SFC, and to the research activities which it directly funds.
The move follows the launch in 2025 of a refreshed Concordat to Support Research Integrity, a UK-wide framework to support good research conduct.
The Scottish Funding Council’s research integrity policy will take effect from 1 September.
The research integrity policy is now available on the SFC website.
