Skills and education providers across Scotland are celebrating the outstanding achievements of their students who have secured places in the prestigious WorldSkills UK National Finals. The finals will take place at venues across South Wales from 18-20 November.
The finalists earned their places following a highly competitive series of national qualifiers, demonstrating exceptional technical skills, knowledge and professionalism in their chosen disciplines.
Scotland will be represented by 27 finalists representing eight colleges, one university and the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust. They will be competing in technology categories such as cyber security, digital construction and renewables as well as in more traditional skills such as hairdressing and plumbing.
The WorldSkills UK National Finals bring together the most talented apprentices and learners from across the UK to compete in over 40 different technical skills. Designed in partnership with industry, the competitions give entrants the practical experience and work-ready skills they need to thrive in their careers.

“This is a tremendous achievement, and the competitions equip learners and apprentices with the skills, confidence and work readiness that employers are crying out for.”
In the 2025 WorldSkills UK National Finals, Scottish competitors brought home four gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
